My Pink Ladies


I couldn't resist sharing my beautiful pink ladies this year. And a few white ones snuck in there too. They were over on my FB a few days ago and caused quite a stir, don't we love our peonies and roses? I know many readers have a holiday weekend ahead so enjoy the first summer weekend of gardening, sunshine, and barbecues. But mostly, enjoy the holiday with the people in your life.

    Ooooo Sande, my favourite peonies. You are so lucky to have so many that you can pick some. I have a couple of peony bushes and only get a few blooms on them. Our house is Victorian and I think that the peonies were planted when the house was built ! We were at Chelsea Flower Show on wednesday and I have made a note of some peony varieties that I must buy. A few more bushes and maybe I will have enough to bring in the house like you Sande !!

    Sande, your pink ladies are very beautiful.....still waiting here in Jordan, on the escarpment, for mine to arrive ! Still in swollen bud stage, maybe Monday if the weather stays warm.....peonies are the queens here in the garden, running neck and neck with roses and hydrangeas.....hope you had a great Victoria Day holiday! Just the name itself sounds so regal and lovely, don't you think? N.xo

    Absolutely love love love peonies! This shade or very pale pink with a deep bright pink center. And the smell... Don't you just love it how they fill the entire room with the most amazing wonderful beautiful fragrance?!

    Sande, Thanks for sharing pics of your peonies. Can't get enough of them...mine are sparse this year due to increased shade in my garden. Need to get rid of one big tree. Have a great weekend!

    Those are lovely. Send them please. Our bush is a dark pink and the one that is supposed be pale pink has yet to produce a bloom. It's true roses and peonies I simply never tire of them.
