I went walking yesterday with Daisy. It is much like walking a bunny, she hops rather than walks. She tried to gather all the autumn leaves that were still on the ground, like they were some magnificent new toy. I got to thinking how close spring is when I saw buds on some of my flowering trees, officially in the next few days. Then I was listening to KD Lang singing Hallelujah as I went off to sleep and I thought yes that's the word............it has been too long of a winter.
Happy Weekend......................happy spring.
Hallelujah.

ReplyDeleteAaaah Yes Spring is definitely on its way inspite of the rain. I can just see you and little Daisy , how cute is that!!! I have been gathering inspiration for my Easter table and enjoying the process. I love this time of year. It has all of my favorite colors in nature and it makes me smile. Hallelujah Spring is Near!!! Kathysue
ReplyDeleteMy 95 lb. 4 year old lab still hops sometimes, especially when particularly pleased with himself!! Hallelujah indeed - today is lovely but yesterday is magnificent!! I head to Florida tomorrow where the weather is supposed to be glorious - sorry - just had to revel in it!!
ReplyDeleteOh happy spring for sure, it has been a tough winter for you guys. I'm picturing little Daisy hopping along, so cute, amongst the autumn leaves.

Hallelujah indeed! The most soulful version of this tune is by K D Lang. I can't think of a better way to lull off to sleep, or wrap your soul around while taking in a new spring. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of Daisy - she clearly has the right approach to life! :)
ReplyDeleteLoving your flowers - heaven!
Enjoy the awakening of Spring and have a lovely weekend.

Sande,
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little hopping puppy!
I can just picture you blissfully smiling at Daisy's cute personality during your stroll.

ReplyDeleteDaisy sounds like a pet right after my own heart...my Teddy has the same personality and is just so easy going and a pleasure to be around..wish some of that "laidbackness" could rub off on me a bit! Beautiful pics...so nice to have spring in the air...love it!
ReplyDeleteHallelujah, indeed. The moon rose like a flaming peach over the bay last night, and today the sun is shining and it actually feels like the first day of spring. Usually the date and the weather don't match up in Maine, but they do this year, and I am ever so grateful. Sending you warm wishes for a beautiful spring, Sande. Those ranunculus are positively enchanting!

Absolutely the perfect word!!! We spent the day cleaning up the yard and I found emerging buds everywhere....including my peonies...made me smile!
ReplyDeleteOur little one did the bunny hop for the longest time too! Isn't it the cutest thing? Love that version of Hallelujah too. She did a lovely job with it. So ready for Spring, despite the *SNOW* today!
